BEACHES TOURS IN GOA

God has been very kind to this Indian city of Goa in terms of beaches. Beaches in Goa rank among the top beaches in the world. And why shouldn't it? With over 40 lovely beaches to its credit, one can just get lost in the mesmerising beauty of these beaches in India's Goa. The north Goa beaches in Pernem subdivision are delightfully primitive and untouched: Keri beach (with Tiracol and an ancient Portuguese fort on the other bank). Arambol (also known as Harmal); Mandrem (a toddy tappers' and palm distillers' hamlet with two little beaches: Lemos and Asvem) and Morji. The local people are friendly and un-interfering, the markets fairly well stocked and the public transportation system reasonably efficient. By way of accommodation there are somewhat Spartan cottages and thatched huts.

Other beaches in Goa are Caranzalem beach, Marvel beach, Dona Paula beach, Bambolim beach and Siridao beach, all in close proximity to Mormugao harbour. The Mormugao subdivision has a string of excellent beaches, like Bogmalo beach, Issorcim beach, Colva beach (a rich spawning ground for fish and crustaceans).
