VAGATOR BEACH IN GOA

As some fishermen community reside near the Vagator beach in India's Goa, you will either come across the fishermen in their traditional attire getting ready to venture into the sea or coming back with their day's catch. While the men return home, the women, and children also dressed in colourful local attire wait to greet them. If you wait to talk to them, they will be quite excited to fill you up with the details of their catch and if you are nice to them, they might even take you out with them the next time they go fishing.
From Vagator beach, you can see the 500-year-old Portuguese Fort. It takes you down the memory lane of the Old Portuguese era. If you want to hike up to this fort, you are welcome…climb up those rocks and reach this fort, once inside the fort, you won't mind the fatigue you are feeling because The view from this fort is breathtaking, you get to see wide expanse of greenery and the blue sea till your eyes can reach.
While at Vagator beach, you can also witness the seawater changing colors from aquamarine to emerald, the tiny cottages with gardens garlanded by colors of lemon, purple and fuchsia.
Where to stay
Once at Vagator beach, there is not too much of choice for staying except for a few guesthouses, or houses on rent. During the peak tourist season, one might find trouble finding an accommodation here, and so, at that time, Calangute or Baga can be a better bet.

The nearest airport is at Dabolim, which is 29 km away from Panaji. Panaji is just 22 km away from Vagator.
